In continuation of the online session on " Social Market Economy" the 5th webinar on "Corporate Governance in Social Market Economy" was held. The Session was opened by Dr. Thanongsone Sibounheuan, Director of the Center for Information and Training, and facilitated by Mr. Ousavanh Thiengthepvongsa, Director General of Socio-Economic Policy Research Institute, Lao Academy for Social Economic Sciences (LASES).

The event started with the presentation on” Corporate Governance in Social Market Economy” given by Prof. Dr. Hansjoerg Herr from the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Two more presentations were given by Institute for Enterprise Development Research (LASES). Mrs. Phonesavanh Sitthideth, Deputy Director of IEDR, talked about “Problems and Challenges in Accessing Fund for Microfinance, Small and Medium Enterprises in Lao PDR” and Mrs. Dokfa Siyotha, Head of Compilation Division held a presentation on “Development Opportunities for Lao PDR Internal Logistics and Transit Trade in Lao PDR within the Mekong Sub-Region Integration”

More than 100 participants joined the Webinar and besides participants from LASES, there were several participants from various organizations like the Industrial and Commercial Economic Institute (Ministry of Commerce and Industry), National University of Laos, Bank of Lao PDR, Ministry of Energy and Mines, Ministry of Technology and Communication, Lao Airlines attended this event.
