The Fifth Virtual Youth Camp: Growing Democracy

In cooperation with the School of Political and Social Science, University of Phayao, the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) held the first part of the Fifth Virtual Youth Camp on the topic of "Growing Democracy".

On September 25 and 26, 2021, the School for Political and Social Science, University of Phayao, together with the Hanns Seidel Foundation Thailand held the first session of the “Fifth Virtual Youth Camp: Growing Democracy” with an aim to provide the participants with instructive insights into various topics on democracy and citizenship in both theoretical and practical aspects. The second session of this virtual camp will be held on October 9 and 10, 2021.

In this virtual camp, there were learning activities under 3 topics:

  • “What’s Democracy?: Way of Life” by Asst. Prof. Dararat Khampeng and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatthip Chaichakan;
     
  • “What’s Democracy?: Ideologies” by Asst. Prof. Dararat Khampeng and Ajarn Taweep Mahasingha; and
     
  • “What’s Democracy?: Regimes” by Ajarn Taweep Mahasingha and Ajarn Kanlayaporn Kanin

Moreover, the participants had the opportunities to receive pragmatic knowledge concerning democracy as well as to engage in expressing and exchanging opinions related to the topic enthusiastically through interactive activities via online applications.
