RDC Cordillera supports the CBD

In December 2021, the Regional Development Council (RDC) of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) passed a resolution in support of the Community-based Dialogue (CBD) mechanism.

RDC-CAR Resolution No. 92, series of 2021 titled “Requesting the LGUs to Institutionalize the Community-based Dialogue in the Local Government Units to Address Human Rights Concerns and Providing Funds Therefor” acknowledges the CBD as an effective tool in engendering community cooperation and participation in the promotion of human rights at the local level.  Part of the resolution calls for the CHR-CAR to provide technical assistance in the institutionalization and DILG-CAR to facilitate and monitor the institutionalization of the CBD.  Some members of the CAR CBD core group who are in the RDC as well helped facilitate the approval of the resolution.
