MoU Signing Ceremony between HSF and the Office of National Assembly of Vietnam

On 20th December, Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam (HSF) and the Office of National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (ONA) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the project “Technical support for strengthening the institutional development of the Office of the National Assembly and the legislative capacity of the Deputies of the National Assembly.

HSF

Following the successful cooperation since 2017, the HSF and the ONA have decided on broadening the cooperation in the period 2022 - 2025. Mr Michael Siegner – Resident Representative of HSF Vietnam and Mr Pham Thai Ha – Vice Chairman of the ONA signed the MoU on 20th December at the National Assembly Building of Vietnam to strengthen the cooperation in various areas of work. Under this 3-year MoU, the two parties agree on organising training courses, workshops, policy consultations and dialogues, research and publication, and study strips to Germany and other European countries in order to foster the institutional development of the ONA and the legislative capacity of the National Assembly Deputies. Through this cooperation, HSF also seeks to contribute to promoting the cooperation and dialogue between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the German parliaments at national and subnational levels.
