Over 50 members of the Pyithu and Amyotha Hltuttaw attended the briefing. It was led by the Myanmar social media expert U Soe Lin Htoot from Myanmar Fifth Estate. He presented on how to effectively engage with the public - the citizens - via Facebook and how to protect the data online.

Members of Parliament raised questions about the administrative process of managing Facebook pages, acquiring blue marks to recognise the authenticity of committee pages and how to make pages more searchable and easier to access via Facebook queries.

The briefing was the 4th event in a series that is dedicated to the social media engagement of the Hluttaw. We sincerely thank all the members of the Hluttaw that attended this session.
