Initiated by the EIT Climate-KIT, ClimateLaunchpad (CLP) is one of the world's largest cleantech business idea competitions which takes place in over 60 countries around the world. In Vietnam, CLP has been jointly organised by HSF and CCS since 2019, seeking to enhance technical knowledge of cleantech business and impact entrepreneurship among start-ups, establishing a network of experts and practitioners in sustainable business, and promoting sustainable business ecosystem in Vietnam.

In 2025, ClimateLaunchpad Vietnam attracted 81 applications from individuals, project teams, and startups across 13 cities and provinces, reflecting strong nationwide interest and a diverse pool of ideas. Following a competitive selection process, 24 teams advanced to the Boot Camp phase.

To ensure broad participation, the Boot Camps were organised in two formats. Boot Camp A, held fully online from 11–13 June 2025, brought together 12 teams from Central and Southern Vietnam. Boot Camp B, organised as a hybrid event from 18–20 June 2025, combined in-person sessions in Hanoi with online participation, engaging 12 teams from Hanoi and Northern Vietnam.

Led by an international expert with over 25 years of experience in the cleantech startup sector, the Boot Camps offered intensive training on core aspects of sustainable entrepreneurship. Participants explored key topics such as market segmentation, customer value propositions, financial planning, climate impact measurement, and navigating Vietnam’s green startup ecosystem. National mentors, researchers, and consultants complemented the program with local insights and practical guidance, including specific support mechanisms for student-led startups.

Beyond group training, the program placed strong emphasis on individualised support. From 23 June to 12 July 2025, all 24 teams took part in tailored 1:1 online coaching sessions, allowing mentors to address each team’s specific challenges and stage of development.

The National Final will take place on 23 July 2025 at Vietnamese-German University, where the top 10 teams will compete for advancement. Three winners from the National Final will then join the Regional Final (August–September 2025), with the opportunity to reach the Global Grand Final on 24 October 2025 in Vienna, Austria.
