For the second time an official run from Taungoo (Bago Region) to Thandaung Gyi (Kayin State) took place on March 17th 2018.

The more than 70 people participating in the race experienced a scenic uphill-run to the hill station Thandaung Gyi. Arrived there a breathtaking view rewarded the runners.

The meeting assured that all preparations would be well on track: local authorities such as the hospital as well as the police were aware of the run and were on stand-by during the weekend, water stations were set up along the race track* and volunteer were there to support. Local authorities also marked the route from Taungoo to Thandaung Gyi for a smooth run. In Thandaung Gyi the TTDWG set up 5 new trash collection bins to keep the streets clean.

*HSF sponsored refillable water bottles that could be filled up along the route.
